Community Café Grant with Cares Together

Community Café Grant with Cares Together

Following an initial discuss our Founder Chris Hall had with Carers Together Director Anne Meader we are currently in discuss with Carers Together with regards to becoming one of their partners in a Community Café grant they currently have through Hampshire County Council.  Following our initial discuss we will be meeting with them together with Saint Andrews Methodist Church volunteers to discuss the opportunity of running our Activity And Social Group as one of these Community Cafés.  If we believe this route to be suitable we would look to start running it in this way by early 2017.

We are not currently expecting however that there will be any noticeable change to the way in which the group is run but we do hope that it will encourage more people to attend and enjoy the facilities that we have on offer there.  We are also looking to be able to support Carers Together in a mutual arrangement by providing administrative support through our work experience students at Basingstoke College of Technology.  We hope that this in turn may mean we can take on more students at any one time.
